I enjoyed reading this book after I came to live in ...

I enjoyed reading this book after I came to live in Korea. I bought it at the publisher's bookstore in Seoul and read it slowly over the course of several weeks, laughing at times, nodding my head in recognition at other times. I met the author yesterday at the Seoul Selection bookstore and told him how useful his book was for answering common questions that many of us non-Koreans have had about Korean culture. I recommend this book for people who enjoy South Korea and its people and have often wondered, "Why?" about things Korean. Chances are, you will find some answers to your questions and appreciating the Korean author's frank, sometimes irreverent writing.

Excellent, funny peek into South Korean culture for the curious Westerner

As a recent convert to Kpop and Kdrama, I have been looking for books to help me learn more about Korean history and culture, and have found very few. This book provided the "intro to Korea" that I was looking for.
The way the subjects are divided up and presented is perfect whether you have all the time in the world to read or need to digest the information in small doses between classes, work, or other unfortunate real life activities. The author writes with a light and humorous touch that makes this book fun to read while still packing in lots of detail and lots of information.
I highly recommend this book!

Not compatible with english dictionary

Wording used in this book is quite advanced for not native english speaker. It would't be a problem, but there is some technical issue with this book and I can't use english dictionary with it.
